What is Relaxation?

I cannot believe it's Memorial Day and that is has been almost a full  month since we've posted last.  May has surely been a very busy month for us. From Mother's day, traveling and Ashley's Birthday--it's been a very busy month for The Carlton's.  We've kept busy with slammed packed weekends and not must rest and relaxation. It amazes me how you can plan to "relax" and it never turns out to be relaxing because you have somewhere to run or somewhere to be.  May has been a super fast month and FLEW by.

Here is a shortened version of our May activities:

At the beginning of the month, we were able to celebrate Mother's Day with both of our Mothers.  We had our nephew's dedication on Mother's Day followed by a mini "reception" at my sisters house and celebrated Mother's Day with my mom.  That evening, we went to Surf Rider with Craig's Mother.  It was a great day had by all.

A few weekends later, Ashley had a bachelorette party for one of her best friends, Caitlin.  Caitlin is getting married in just 2 weeks and Ashley can't wait to see her all dressed up on her special day!

During all of the crazy weekends, Craig has continued to keep his golf game going.  Craig loves spending his Saturday mornings (and some Sunday mornings) on the golf course!

After all of this we had--ASHLEY'S BIRTHDAY!  Ashley just turned 24 and had a wonderful birthday.  She woke up to flowers from Craig and had a great day with her Kindergartners.  After work, they went to dinner at Reginella's (one of her favorite restaurants) and had dinner with her family.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND--We traveled to Lake Gaston to spend some time relaxing and cooking out with family.  We had a big cookout at Ashley's Grandparents house on Saturday! It was a great time to relax and spend time with friends.  Craig is golfing this morning (of course) and Ashley is either going shopping or to relax at the beach with a good friend, Erin.

Here are some captured moments of May (since we missed blogging all month):
Brayden's Dedication at Cornerstone Baptist Church

We went to our first Tides Baseball Game of the season! It was FREEEZING!

We went strawberry picking....and rode on the hay ride.

Ashley went to Richmond for Caitlin's Bachelorette Party.

..and of course, Ashley's Birthday followed by a great weekend.....

...at the lake!

Although, May has been super busy for us and not a whole lot of relaxation it has been a wonderful month.  We're down to 20 days until our 1 year anniversary! The time has sure flown but we are super excited for our trip to Myrtle Beach to celebrate!
