Relaxation or Bust

March has arrived!  Hopefully Spring is just around the corner--sundresses and flip flops are beginning to call my name!  It's so easy to get caught up in the busy hectic schedule of the world around us.  Craig and I are taking a break this weekend and doing....well, nothing!  It's actually the perfect weekend to do it--rainyWe have no plans and no schedule--it feels weird yet I feel so relaxed.  This weekend is needed after the craziness we've been living--I feel like I say that every time I blog.  I guess we're not sit at home and do nothing type of people but  I guess it's a good time for random road trips and busy weekdays since we're still "living the dream."

It's been crazy for us the past few weeks--facing many ups and downs but we're sticking together and keeping our faith strong.

As for the downs: I found out recently that well..education is cutting yet again.  It seems that everywhere I go--they have a "shortfall"--maybe I'm the jinx.  Although I've taught for two years, I'm still the newbie in my school system so I'm out yet again.  It's very discouraging at times (I wonder if this is a sign that teaching isn't suppose to be what I'm doing--but I LOVE going to work everyday and making a difference for these children I spend my days with; so I'm telling myself to stick with it) but I continue to tell myself--things will work out (as everyone else does) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  This time has been harder--since I love my school, the people I work with, but most importantly my students.  It's been a great year and I've seen my students make awesome progress so I'm hoping for the best.  God has a plan--and I'm just hanging in there until I know what it is--saying a prayer each night that all will work out.

Enough of the depressing stuff: Craig and I have been quite the travelers this winter.  We also seem to be on the go and if we're in town we have something planned to do (hence why it's nice to have a weekend of no obligations). We recently went on a trip to Seven Springs in PA to go snowboarding.  We took a bus trip but we had a blast--even though I was sick with a stomach bug (lets talk about no energy and snowboarding in the same sentence--ughhhh).  We snowboarded from 9-9 pm and well, I think I'm still catching up on some sleep.

Sitting at the top of the mountain!

We have another snowboarding trip planned next weekend to Wintergreen with one of my very best friends, Rachel, and her boyfriend.  It shall be a great time and I can't wait for this next week to fly by so we can be hititng the slopes together!

Last Year Shenanigans! Can't wait for this yearsss trip!!!

As for everything else, we're continuing to spend as much time with our nephew, Brayden, since he is growing like a weed and getting smarter everyday.  We don't mind that he calls me "Cug" and Uncle Craig "Abuh".  One day--we'll find out what those names mean!  We also continue to spend as much time with our families since they are such a big part of our lives.  Despite the ups and downs, we are truly blessed and thankful for all we have!
Where has the time gone?

HAPPY MARCH Y'ALL!!!
